Telemundo is a Spanish-language American television network. Launched in San Juan, Puerto Rico by Angel Ramos in 1954, it is the second-largest Spanish-language content producer in the world. It is also the second-largest Spanish language network in the United States.
The challenge for this project was to create a website portal and content management system for a bi-lingual staff. The website’s content needed to be only in Spanish, be able to upload and stream videos from the website, have an integrated calendar system, allow user registration, ability to add on-going promotions, and have a banner ad revenue system.
Digital Attic created an administration section that could be utilized in a multi-language environment. At the click of a button, the administration section can be switched from English and Spanish. This system also included a user registration system with an age verifier for members in their system. In addition to all of the things listed above, we also integrated a classified database system which allows members upload directly to the website. Of course the system has an administration approval system before information is uploaded to the website.
